To all Filipino workers who want to work in Singapore, here’s an update from the Ministry of Manpower:
Effective December 1, 2011, the Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate (EPEC) scheme would be discontinued. This scheme used to allow foreign workers to stay inSingaporefor one year while still looking for an employment opportunity.
The validity of issued EPEC’s to foreigners would remain valid until expiration. As long as the EPEC is still valid, the EPEC holder would continue to be eligible to apply for a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) from the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
