No Recruitment Fee Policy For Guam-bound OFWs
The Philippine Embassy in Guam alerted the POEA because of several reports that Philippine recruitment agencies continue to collect fees from applicants for the said visa category. Prior to the advisory, the US State Department disclosed that they are processing applications of possible Filipino workers for the Guam construction projects that said they have paid placement fees to the Philippine recruitment agencies. According to Bayani S. Mercado, Philippine Consul General, he had a meeting with Clay Allen, acting manager of US State Department’s Fraud Prevention and they discussed joint measures to make the public aware that US has a “no recruitment fee” policy for the H2B visa. Registration For The Next Korean Language Test
The EPS-KLT has a new name as it is now called Employment Permit System-Test of Proficiency in Korean (EPS-TOPIK) and the next exam would be conducted on November 14, 2010.
According to an announcement from the Human Resource Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), the registration is set from September 20 to 23, 2010. The venue for the registration is not yet revealed and it will be announced in the official websites of POEA and DOLE.
Those who want to register for this exam should be included in the POEA Manpower Registry. Their registration status should be active as of September 19, 2010 to qualify for registration. Those who are not yet registered with the POEA E- Registration System are advised to register online via www.poea.gov.ph.

POEA To EPS-KLT Passers: Submit Requirements ASAP
The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) recently released an advisory for successful examinees of the 6th Employment Permit System-Korean Language Test (EPS-KLT) who until now have not submitted the required documents that will help them land a job in Korea.
According to POEA, two months after conducting the 6th EPS-KLT exam, not all of the 2,775 applicants who passed the test are in the Roster of Jobseekers for Korea’s Employment Permit System- a list where potential Korean employers can choose candidates for employment. Read more.
