Summer Jobs for Dependents of Repatriated OFWs

Short term jobs for dependents of repatriated OFWs especially those from Libya are made available by the
Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

POEA Chief, Carlos S. Cao, Jr. said the project will be implemented under the Special Employment Program (SPES) of the Department of Labor and Employment. The government agency is hoping that by providing temporary employment to dependents of displaced OFWs (college -level students). it would help lighten the plight of OFWs who have recently lost their jobs.

OFW dependents may apply for employment under the POEA-SPES at the POEA main office in Mandaluyong City or the POEA Regional Offices nationwide. The program will be implemented from April 18 to May 31, 2011.
Interested applicants may visit the POEA website www.poea.gov.ph to check on the addresses of these offices.
