To Serve You Better, DFA Did This

Posted by:

Imagine this, you came early at the Department of Foreign Affairs main consular office in Macapagal Boulevard, Parañaque City. You arrived even before the office opens for business to be able to transact early. But unfortunately, the line is already way too long. And you knew, that it would be a long day for you just to have your documents authenticated.

Because of scenarios like this, and complaints that DFA receives from Filipinos, they’ve decided to station mall offices. These mall offices in different areas of Metro Manila will cater to Filipinos, especially OFWs, that needs to authenticate or red ribbon their documents to live or work abroad.

DFA announced four mall-based satellite offices in Metro Manila where Filipinos can have their documents authenticated, aside from the main consular office in Macapagal Boulevard. These mall satellite offices would be:

  • DFA NCR-Northeast in Ali Mall.
  • DFA NCR-East in SM Megamall.
  • DFA NCR-West in SM Manila.
  • DFA NCR-South in Metro Gaisano, Alabang.

These DFA satellite offices will process documents for red ribbon from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday.

OFWs can wait for their documents to be red ribbon for four days, which is the regular processing day, costing P100/document. But for OFWs in a hurry for the release of their authenticated documents, you can have it after one day, for only P200 per document.
