According to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) secretary, Rosalinda Baldoz, Malta expressed desire to hire Filipino workers specifically Filipino seamen, caregivers and service industry workers.
Baldoz cited a report made by Mustaffa, the Labor Attaché that is assigned in Tripoli Nasser. According to Baldoz, Mustaffa said that in his visit to the city of Valleta, the capital of Malta, to meet with the Filipino community he saw that the prospect of hiring more Filipino workers there is high.
