POEA Won’t Stop: Another Recruitment Agency Closed Down

Posted by:

Despite the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration’s (POEA) warnings to recruiters and recruitment agencies operating illegally, some are still hard-headed and continues to ignore the call.

Bright 3 Manpower Agency, located in Makati City, is the latest addition to POEA’s list of agencies foreclosed. Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac said that a woman named Rosita Natama confirmed that she was the manager of Bright 3 and the one responsible for recruiting Filipinos to work abroad. They are processing applicants documents for overseas jobs in Dubai and Malaysia to work as service crew, salesman, saleslady, laundry personnel, house workers, construction workers, janitors, and waiters/waitress.

The agency was closed down for it has no proper license from POEA and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) because it is recruiting workers both for local and overseas employment.

Government agencies and departments like POEA, DFA and DOLE are doing their best to constrain these people and agencies recruiting all and aspiring OFWs to work abroad without legal authorization. They are also reminding every OFWs and local Filipino workers to deal only with licensed agencies to avoid problems because they’re the ones to suffer in the end. OFWs and every Filipino dreaming of working abroad for higher compensation must learn how to know if an agency is legal or not. Also, you must avoid job offers in internet because most of them are scams. It is our aspiration and desire to work abroad that these people are taking advantage of, so it is a must that you should be very keen and careful.
