More than 60,000 Jobs in DOLE’s June 12 Job Fair
The Labor Department will hold the “Kalayaan 2013 Job Fair” to celebrate 115th anniversary of the Philippine Independence. It will be on June 12, 2013 from 8:00am to 4:00pm at South Drive, Luneta Park, Manila. It carries the theme, “Kalayaan: Ambagan Tungo Sa Malawakang Kaunlaran.”
Attendees can expect 85 local companies and 25 overseas recruitment agencies to participate in the event. More than 60,000 job openings will be offered.
Regional Director, Atty. Macaraya said, “We advise job applicants to bring their resume/biodata, copy of diploma, copy of transcript of records, clearances such as police/NBI clearance, employment certificates if any, ID pictures, and other pertinent documents for easy facilitation of their applications.”

The New Zealand Embassy in Manila is currently looking for an Immigration Officer. The role involves analysing and assessing information, fantastic written and oral communication skills, and being able to demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.
Job Description:
- Working as an effective and co-operative member of a team
- Assessing evidential applications while exercising fair and reasonable judgement
- Working in a positive way with all people of differing cultural backgrounds, gender and abilities, exemplifying excellent customer service skills
- Working effectively without direct supervision, and managing and organising fluctuating workloads
- Working with different software packages e.g. Word, Excel or good keyboard skills
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage
The salary is commensurate with the Manila Salary Scale. Placement for new recruits starts at PHP559, 245 (80% competent, and progresses to 120% competent over time and tenure).The successful appointee will be offered a permanent employment contract.

Hanapbuhay para sa TESDA Specialista Job Fairs
Are you a graduate of a TESDA-accredited training institution and is currently job-hunting? Don’t miss a series of job fairs dubbed, “Hanapbuhay para sa TESDA Specialista’’ that is a collaboration project between DOLE Regional Coordinating Council-National Capital Region, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), and the PESO Association of Metro Manila (PAMM).
This is the first-ever job fair that will exclusively cater to more than 171,000 tech-voc graduates.
