Job Fairs in Different PHL Regions: 1st Quarter of 2013

The Labor Department announced the schedule of career fairs to happen in the following Philippine regions for the first quarter of 2013: Regions 2, 3, 4B, 5, 6, 9, 11, and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
In connection with this, Labor Chief, Rosalinda Baldoz advises the job applicants to stay in their respective regions while looking for career opportunities because they can directly apply for jobs through the DOLE job fairs.
Baldoz said, “Jobs are available to job seekers raring to work this year. They could start their job search at their own communities as the DOLE is making it easier for them to do so by bringing the jobs through its job fairs in the regions.”

According to DOLE, of the 106 job fairs that are listed above, there are only 12 that would offer overseas job opportunities. The rest of the career fairs would feature local companies and their job vacancies. She said that this means that more local jobs are available for local jobseekers.
