The POEA has suspended the license of JFG Career Agency as well as its counter part in Canada, September Star, Inc, that were found collecting placement fees from OFWs who are bound for jobs in Canada.
The Mr. Tyson J. Kefebre, owner if A&W restaurant in Canada, filed the complaint when one of the 16 OFWs he hired told him that each of them paid some US$1,500.00 to JFG Career Agency and were compelled to sign promissory notes that they would pay additional US$4,500.00 to September Star in scheduled installments.

The government placement branch (GPB) through the POEA is in need of professional and skilled Filipino workers. Qualified applicants will be deployed in King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH & RC) in Jeddah.
Interested applicants should personally submit a detailed resume, Diploma and transcript of records, board license/certificate, PRC card, 2 dated letters of reference from previous/current manager/supervisor. No Objection Certificate for ex-Saudi and 1 pc 2×2 picture for issuance of KFSH & RC Application Form at the Manpower Registry Division, Window M, Ground Floor, Blas Ople Bldg. (formerly POEA Bldg.) Ortigas Ave., corner EDSA, Mandaluyong City between 8 am to 5 pm or the nearest, POEA Regional Extension Unit. Or they may also send in their updated résumés to poea_gpb@yahoo.com.

The POEA has issued the list of licensed recruitment agencies that are authorized to recruit Filipino workers bound for Canada. The POEA’s government placement facility has no job offer for Canada thus they refer applicants to apply only with these agencies
The POEA said that some skilled and professional overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are needed in the provinces of Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan. And they advised that the Canadian law requires no recruitment and placement fee for workers applying for jobs in these provinces. Read more
