The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) honors 10 children of Overseas Filipino Workers who manifested excellence in academics and non-academic fields.
The awarding ceremony called the “Search for the Ten Outstanding Expat Pinoy Children” is initiated by banking giant BPI that aims to recognize the contribution to the country of Filipino migrant workers and the exemplary performance and efforts of their children despite living without one or both parents who happen to be working overseas.
“We at BPI also recognize the sacrifices that their children endure, striving excellence in school and creating impact to the society despite living away from their parents. We likewise honor them as inspirations to the youth,” said Roy Emil Yu, BPI’s Senior Vice President and Overseas Customer Segment and Remittance Head.
This year’s award recipients are composed of 8 Ibang Klaseng Talino awardees, 1 Ibang Klaseng Community Leader, and 1 Ibang Klaseng Artist.
The awardees will receive a plaque and grant to be credited to their BPI savings accounts.
