Nurses Warned on Fixers Promising Germany Jobs

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) is quick to issue an advisory that advises nurse-applicants to be suspicious of individuals that may offer or promise them assistance to get a job in hospitals in Germany.

According to POEA Chief, Hans Cacdac, he was informed that some applicants were approached by individuals that promised them that their names would surely be included in the list of applicants that will be considered for the position in Germany if they will pay a huge amount.

Cacdac explained that the selection of applicants will be based on qualifications and the final decision will be made by the Federal Employment Agency (BA) through the International Placement Services (ZAV, the authorized agency to recruit Filipino health professionals under the German law.

The POEA chief advised jobseekers to report any encounter with fixers, especially if employees of the POEA are involved, at telephone numbers 7221144 and 7221155, info@poea.gov.ph , facebook.com/poea.official and twitter.com/poeaNews
