Filipino nurses who wish to work abroad are warned against a new scam that offers fake nursing job opportunities in hospitals based in Toronto, Canada. The warning was given by the Philippine Consulate General in Canada.
Unscrupulous individuals lure applicants by offering opportunities to work in hospitals in Toronto such as Shouldice. The email message invites applicants to a “coaching interview” session to supposedly prepare them for the actual interview to be conducted by the Canadian Embassy in Manila.
Those who wants to participate in the “coaching interview” are asked to pay Php3,888 to be sent thru Western Union. The interview will then be followed by a two-day seminar.
