In the Middle East, the most preferred destination of Filipino workers is the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is according to the result ofthe survey that was done via the sites of OFWGuide.com and Workabroad.ph.
The surveyabout the most desired work destination in the Middle East was posted in the homepage of the said websites from June 25 to July 12. The choices given were: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Libya, Oman and Sudan.
Of the total 2641 respondents, UAE gets 42% or majority with 1104 votes .Qatar came in far second with 565 votes or 21% of the total votes. The third most desired Middle Eastcountry for work according to the survey is Bahrain with 385 votes or 15%. Surprisingly, Saudi which is consistent as top OFW destination only gets 272 votes or 10%. Libya, Oman and Sudan are at the bottom three with Libya getting 212 votes, Oman getting 93 votes and Sudan with only 10 votes.
