The Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) is inviting overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who successfully finished a work contract under the Employment Permit to join an essay writing contest.
Information about the essay writing contest is posted on the official website of POEA and it states that cash prizes are at stake. The first and second placers will also be given a chance to be a lecture in the returnee program.

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Advisaory no. 30 states that starting July 1, the POEA is implementing a new procedure in the processing of exit clearance of balik-manggagawa or returning workers.
All Balik-Manggagawa (BM)/ vacationing overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are hereby informed on the revised procedures in the processing of BM travel exit clearance which will be will be adopted by the Balik-Manggagawa Processing Center (BMPC) at the POEA main office.

A 60-year old Filipina nurse working in America as a private duty nurse inherited USD33 million from her employer which happens to be the heiress of one of America’s great fortunes.
Hadassah Peri, now a US immigrant served as the private nurse of Huguette Clark, who is the daughter of a US senator and a copper mining tycoon. Clark is said to have a mansion in New York with 121 rooms and inherited all hi father’s wealth when it died.
