Urgent: 15 Engineering Tradesperson for Australia

Qualifications
Male/Female, 25 – 45 years old
At least Bachelor’s / College Degree
At least 6 years work experience

Responsibilities:
The Engineering Tradesperson shall carry out all tasks issued by the Engineering Supervisor in an efficient and safety conscious manner, paying attention to quality of workmanship and value adding time management at all times. These tasks shall include, but are not limited to:

A.) Installation of main equipment on board vessels ie pumps, tanks, main engines, shaftlines, purifiers etc.

B.) Installation of piping systems to include PVC, ABS, Stainless Steel and Copper Nickel.

C.) Fabricate bases and brackets to sufficiently support support engineering systems.

D.) Assist in the testing, commissioning and demonstration of engineering sysytems.

E.) Have input and give feedback on product and process improvement.

They are seeking people that can fabricate pipes out of various materials; Stainless steel, CuNi, Steel and various types of plastics. They should also be able to install machinery and be able to fabricate mounting frames and brackets in aluminium and be able to weld both steel and aluminium plate. Most pipe workers would have these skills even if not directly mentioned on their resume. The other important point is the ability to work in small teams in various locations around the world not always in or with a fully set up workshops.

Free Rides For Returning OFWs From OWWA

Many overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) return to the Philippines for a vacation during the Christmas season. Government agencies knows this fully well so to extend their appreciation to the modern-day heroes, OFWs can enjoy a free ride from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to different bus terminals.

The free ride service is part of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration’s “Pamaskong Handog” project. The OWWA administrator, Carmelita Dimzon, also
Instructed the OWWA personnel stationed at the NAIA terminals to assist and help returning OFWs.

Passport Services For OFWs in Al Khobar

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia announced that they will conduct consular services for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the area on December 16 to 17, 2010. It will happen at the International Philippine School in Al-Khobar.

The Embassy informed the public that only 100 e-passports will be encoded on the first day (December 16). They will also accommodate applicants whose documents had been verified and had paid the passport fees in the recent embassy on wheels event.

On the second day (December 17), a total of 75 e-passports will be encoded and applicants whose documents had been verified and had paid the passport fees in the recent embassy on wheels event.
