POEA: Nursing Exams In Japan Not Will Not be In English

Reports that the licensure examination for foreign nurses in Japan will now be given in English is not true. This is the clarification made by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) which has come from a representative of the Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW).

The speculations that the exam will be translated in English stems from the fact that foreign nurses in Japan are having a difficult time passing the licensure examinations in their host country as evident by the extremely low passing rate of previous examinees.

Hospitals in Israel Has No Job Offer For Filipino Healthcare Workers

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has issued a warning against illegal recruiters that are offering jobs for a hospital in Israel. According to the DFA, there are no hospitals in Israel that have job openings for Filipino medical workers such as nurses, doctors, ambulance crews, drivers, etc.

Travel Advisory to Aqaba Jordan

The Philippine Embassy in Jordan called on all Filipinos who have plans to go to the city of Aqaba in Jordan to postpone all personal and unnecessary travels for now. This is to protect them from possible damage that may result due to reports that the area will be attack by terrorists.

The advisory was published in the website of DFA and it was deemed necessary after embassies of other countries in Jordan including Japan and US embassy issued similar advisories.

The Embassy published its mobile number (+962 77 743 5435) for inquiries or other information.

Germany Wants Highly Skilled Workers

The labor market of Germany is expanding so they are keeping their doors open to many foreign workers. However Germany is also clear in its intention to hire only highly qualified professionals. So along with the news of job opportunities in Germany is a reminder to all migrant workers including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) that they are implementing a strict policy against illegal entry of low-skilled workers.
