Seafarer Recruitment in Luneta No Longer Allowed

According to POEA Administrator Jennifer Jardin-Manalili, all recruitment activities of manning agencies in Rizal Park area near the National Library are deemed illegal. The government agency issued the new law because of reports of unfair hiring practices in the area. Likewise the POEA has not issued any Special Recruitment Authority (SRA) to manning agencies conducting recruitment activities in the said areas since May 2009. Read more.

Schedule of DFA Mobile Passport Service

As the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) strives to make the passport application system faster and easier for all, they have released the schedule of their passport mobile services for this month until November of this year.

Through this mobile passport service program, the DFA goes to different local government units all over the country to make it possible for people who for some reason find it difficult to go to the DFA main office to obtain a passport.
