100 Nurses Needed in United Kingdom

The advertisement said that they are set to hire 50 ICU/ Critical Care Nurses and 50 OR/Theater Nurses. They are looking for applicants with 2 to 3 years experience as ICU/Critical Care nurses or OR/Theater nurses. They also require that the applicant is an IELTS passer with a score of 7 in all areas. OFWs in Cyprus: Free Business Counseling Seminar

If you or someone you know is working in Cyprus, you might want to attend a business counseling seminar for free. This free event is made possible thru the efforts of OWWA, Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Philippine Honorary Consulate and Overseas Filipino Volunteers in Cyprus (OFVC). The enrollment for the seminar entitled, “Kabuhayang Pinoy” is now open for the third batch to happen on May 2 to 23,2010. Here are other details for this event:

Test Venues For The 6th EPS-Korean Language Test

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration has released the guidelines for the 6th EPS-Korean Language Test (EPS-KLT) that will happen on May 2. According to an advisory released in the POEA website, the exam will be given from 10:30 am to 11:40 am. However the applicants must be in their respective test rooms at 8:00 a.m. The requirements for the test are the following: passport or 1 valid ID, test permit and black ink pen.

The results of EPS KLT results will be released on May 27, 2010. It will be announced on the POEA website. Click here to know the test venues opposite the registration site where the applicants secured the test.

Tax-Free Privilege For OFWs

Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are now exempted from paying taxes such as documentary stamp tax (DST) on their remittances, travel tax and airport fee. Migrant workers now enjoy this tax-free privilege because it is included in the revised Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act.

To avail of this privilege, OFWs need to show a proof of entitlement that can be obtained from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). Read more.
