SSS Services Now Available Via Text!

Good news to all SSS members. Now you can get updates and information on SSS services via text! You can know the status of your contributions, loan eligibility, loan applications and other value added services anytime and anywhere.

To get started: Text SSS and send to 2910 (for Smart and TalknText subscribers) or 2600 (for Globe and SunCellular subscribers).

You will then receive a text message asking you to register. I am not sure but maybe one can proceed to registration directly. Here’s how to register:

Text SSS REG and send to 2910 or 2600

Ex: SSS REG 1234567890 04/03/81 Juan Cruz

If the registration is successful, you will receive a text message that contains your PIN. Then you can use the mobile service to get other info.

To get info on salary loan:
Key in: LSSSS No.PIN and send to 2910 ( 0r 2600

To get info on Status of Contributions:
Key in: TCSSS No.PIN and send to 2910 or 2600.

To get info on Loan Balance:
Key in: LBSSS No.PIN and send to 2910 or 2600.

Rates:
Php2.50 for Globe and Smart subscribers and Php2.00 for Sun Cellular subscribers

Registration for Korean Language Test Set This April

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that the schedule of the registration for the 6th Employment Permit System- Korean Language Test (EPS-KLT) will happen on April 6 to 8. The POEA will conduct the registration in cooperation with the Human Resource Development Service of Korea, the new test agency that was given accreditation by the government of Korea to conduct the examination. The dates of the actual examination is expected to be announced on March 29.

According to the POEA Chief, Jennifer Jardin-Manalili, their agency and the HRD Korea will be in special designated areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao from April 6 to 8 to conduct registration. They are yet to announce other details about the registration such as time and place.

Passport Applicants Need To Set an Appointment

The new Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) building located near Mall of Asia officially opened to the public last March 8. Along with the promise that the new facility would make their service more efficient is the reminder that the DFA would only process application strictly by appointment. It means that applicants need to set an appointment and get a schedule before proceeding to the new building and that no walk-in applicants will be entertained.

To set an appointment, applicants can visit www.passport.com.ph or call 737-1000 Travel agencies can go to the DFA website at www.dfa.gov.ph or send an email at: scheduler@dfa-appointment.net. For more inquiries, they can also call at the following numbers: (02)834-4691, (02)834-4855 and (02) 8343707.
