The government of Taiwan is planning to amend a program on direct hiring foreign workers, including Filipino workers, that aims to help ease the processing fees that are being collected by linking agents and this will benefit both employers and employees in Taiwan.

Deputy Minister/Political Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) Dr. Shih-wei Pan said that if the foreign worker has an employer for three years and has took a vacation and then wants to return to the same employer, the employer can hire him directly without going through an agency.
