According to the president of United Filipino Seafarers (UFS), Nelson Ramirez, the shipping industry would need around 12,000 seafarers until 2012. Filipino seamen are assured that they will get the job because they are well- known for their excellent work ethics. Read more.

The new government program for nurses called NARS (Nurses Assigned in Rural Service) would equip hired candidates with training in public health functions and important clinical tasks.

The result for the nursing board exam that registered the most number of examinees in history is finally out! The Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) announced that a total of 39,455 out of 88,649 nursing graduates who took the exam now join the ranks of registered nurses.
