Kanlungan Centre Foundation Inc, a non-government organization aims to abolish illegal recruitment in the province of La Union with the launching of zero illegal recruitment campaign last month. For the project to succeed, Marge Madiguid, a representative of Kanlungan, said that they have coordinated with local government agencies and other NGO groups in Launion.

Madiguid also informed that the said project received a Php 920,000 grant from the World Bank-sponsored contest called “Panibagong Paraan.” The project was done in La Union because government statistics of illegal recruitment cases for the Ilocos region was highest in this province.
