In demand jobs in New Zealand

The increase in demand for Filipino workers in New Zealand is on the rise. From 196 deployed workers in 2005, this figure went up to 420 in 2006, a 114% increase. The in demand jobs in New Zealand are as follows:

Healthcare: registered nurses, physical therapists, pharmacist, medical technologists, radiologist and/or X-ray technician, hospital attendants, dieticians and general cleaners.

  • Hospitality industry: room boys, customer service representatives, waiters, waitresses, bell boys, housekeeping attendant, telephone operators and a hotel manager.
  • Information Technology: IT specialists, programmers, software engineer, general laborers and technicians.
  • Construction: foreman, architects, civil engineers, electrical engineer, carpenters, plumbers and general workers.
